Boop-oop-a-doop! We now have casting for the previously announced BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical which will have a limited engagement at Broadway In Chicago’s CIBC Theatre later this fall. The Pre-Broadway engagement will run November 19, 2023 through December 24, 2023. 

Leading the cast are Jasmine Amy Rogers as Betty Boop, Faith Prince as Valentina, Ainsley Melham as Dwayne, Erich Bergen as Raymond, Stephen DeRosa as Grampy, Angelica Hale as Trisha, and Anastacia McCleskey as Carol. 

The cast also includes Lawrence Alexander, Tristen Buettel, Colin Bradbury, Joshua Burrage, Gabi Campo, Dan Castiglione, Rebecca Corrigan, Josh Drake,  RJ Higton, Phillip Huber, Nina LaFarga, Aubie Merrylees, Morgan McGhee, Ryah Nixon, Christian Probst, Ricky Schroeder, Gabriella Sorrentino, Brooke Taylor, Courtney Arango, Ian Gallagher Fitzgerald, Sydney Jones, Derek Jordan Taylor, Amy Van Norstrand.

Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, BOOP! is being brought to life with the help of David Foster’s score, lyrics by Susan Birkenhead, and a book by Bob Martin. 

In BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical, Betty's dream of an ordinary day off from the super-celebrity in her black-and-white world leads to an extraordinary adventure of color, music, and love in New York City — one that reminds her and the world, “You are capable of amazing things.” 

Rounding out the creative team is David Rockwell with set design, Gregg Barnes with costume design, Philip S. Rosenberg with lighting design, Gareth Owen with sound design, Finn Ross with projection design, Sabana Majeed with hair & wig design, Michael Clifton with makeup design, Skyler Fox with illusions design, The Huber Marionette with marionette design, and Daryl Waters with musical supervision and arrangements.

Hailing from sunny South Florida, Kobi Kassal founded Theatrely (formerly Theatre Talk Boston) while attending Boston University.
