SHEN YUN Set To Reopen The Palace On Broadway This Month
Standby, Ben Platt! It was announced today that prior to Ben Platt’s Limited Engagement Solo Show at The Palace Theatre, Shen Yun will be making its long-awaited Broadway bow!
Shen Yun's residency at The Palace will begin on April 15th and will run until May 27th, just one day prior to Ben Platt's Palace residency starting! We have even heard rumors that Ben Platt may need to perform on the set of Shen Yun for the first few performances of his residency as Set Breakdown crews will be on spring break in Bermuda that week.
Due to Shen Yun beginning performances prior to the Tony Cutoff (April 25th), it will be eligible for this season's Tony Awards. When we asked the Broadway League for further comment, they responded with, “What? What are you talking about?”
"Why are you asking us about this? We have absolutely nothing to do with Shen Yun’s Broadway Residency," said the cast of the 2023 Tony Winning Best Musical Kimberly Akimbo when we asked them for their comment.
This Tony Season is truly shaping up to be an interesting one! For more information, click the link below.
