As a member of Gen Z, the so-called "generation with a technology addiction," I am all too familiar with the struggle of sitting down to watch a singular YouTube video only to look up and realize I’ve spent the whole day binging videos of my favorite Broadway stars. How did time fly by so quickly? YouTube's Broadway selection is a serious addiction, I tell you! Here at Theatrely, we're going down the rabbit hole to honor this year's Tony Award nominees for Best Featured Actresses in a Musical.

Today we'll be looking at videos of the wonderful Broadway performer Betsy Wolfe. Wolfe is no stranger to the stage, and has been nominated for her outstanding performance as Anne Hathaway in the Broadway smash hit & Juliet. Here are some of my favorite clips of the iconic Broadway star:

Betsy performed the Broadway classic "The Music That Makes Me Dance" from the musical Funny Girl at her "I Found a New Baby" concert in New York City on April 30, 2022. Everything about this performance gives me chills, including her stunning and controlled vocals & her distinctive expression. (Fast forward to 3 minutes and 10 seconds to hear literal perfection.)

How adorable is Jessica Vosk and Betsy Wolfe’s friendship!? Vosk and Wolfe have such great chemistry on stage, which makes this video such an entertaining watch, not to mention their hilarious wigs and improvised jokes and skits. Also, let's not ignore how fantastic Betsy sounds in the role of Elphaba — Wicked needs to cast her immediately.

I am a Falsettos superfan, so the reason I love this video speaks for itself. Betsy's performance as Cordelia was simply unforgettable. This video was shot 6 years ago, so seeing Tracie Thoms and Betsy Wolfe singing one of my favorite songs together brought back so many fantastic memories!

In this video, Betsy Wolfe reveals the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to her on stage. She also talks about her first memories of wishing for a Tony, which is especially touching now that she is a Tony nominee! Wolfe has unquestionably come a long way.

"Suddenly Seymour" with a twist! This is possibly my favorite YouTube video of all time. These two have some of my favorite Broadway voices, and I was blown away by their inventive take on such a classic Broadway song. I've never heard "Suddenly Seymour" performed like this before. Just...wow.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry when I first saw this. Betsy's performance as Jenna in Waitress gives me life. Let's not overlook the fact that Sara Bareilles prepared the stage for Betsy! What a symbolic and wholesome act.

Let's finish with this nine-year-old video of Betsy singing "A Summer in Ohio" from The Last Five Years. Her tone is enthralling and addicting to listen to. She sings this difficult song with such ease. Betsy breathes so much life into the character of Cathy!
