Steppenwolf’s production of The Minutes, which has recently been nominated for Best Play at this year’s upcoming Tony Awards, has raised $83,530 as of today in support of Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund. Founded more than a century ago, Save the Children is a global humanitarian organization that has grown to help and care for children around the world.
The production, recently seen as part of Encores! at New York City City, was a sold-out star-studded extravaganza. Several favorites, including Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel, will return.
The Stranger Things star previously appeared on the Main Stem in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Les Misérables.
The honors celebrated the best of theatre in Boston in the 2021-2022 season during a virtual ceremony.
The original Broadway cast will reunited for a reading of the Tony-nominated and Pulitzer Prize finalist play in the Great Hall at Cooper Union. The benefit will raise funds for National Network of Abortion Funds.
