Lea Michele will depart Chess on Sunday June 21. The new Florence Vassy will be announced at a later date. A new block of tickets will go on sale next week.

Kara Young is joining the cast of Proof on Broadway, directed by Thomas Kail. She joins Ayo Edebiri, Don Cheadle, and Jin Ha in the limited 16-week engagement. Proof begins performances at the Booth Theatre on March 31, with official opening set for April 16. 

Wanted — the musical previously known as Gun & Powder — will head to Broadway this fall staring Solea Pfeiffer and Liisi LaFontaine. The production will begin previews at the James Earl Jones Theatre on Oct. 15, with opening night set for Nov. 8.

Well, I’ll Let You Go will return to New York City at Studio Seaview from April 30 to June 20, following its acclaimed, sold-out run in Brooklyn this summer. Official opening set for May 14.

Hello! Can you believe those doorbells have been ringing on Broadway for almost 15 years now? To celebrate this milestone, The Book of Mormon has announced a special “magical Mormon mystery week” of performances from June 9-14, 2026 at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. The news was announced earlier tonight on the Colbert by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez. Performances from Tuesday, June 9 through Sunday, June 14 will feature appearances in every show by original cast members Tony Award nominees Josh Gad (Elder Cunningham) and Andrew Rannells (Elder Price), Tony Award winner Nikki M. James (Nabulungi), and Tony Award nominee Rory O’Malley (Elder McKinley). The original cast members will perform select scenes and songs at each performance alongside the current cast, with no show exactly the same. The “Mystery Week” performances, the first of its kind on Broadway, will also feature Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez and Broadway’s original Mormon and Ugandan ensembles at certain performances, plus other surprise guests from the big Mormon family throughout the week.

Mark Ballas will be reunited with his Dancing With The Stars Whitney Leavitt on Broadway in Chicago for a limited four-week engagement. Ballas will take the stage as Billy Flynn opposite Leavitt’s Roxy Hart from April 6 to May 3.

Looks like we will be packing our bags for Atlanta! Today, it was announced that the bold new musical Like Father from Theatrely31 alum Jacob Ryan Smith and Caroline Pernick will have its world premiere production at Georgia’s Alliance Theatre. Directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden (The Preacher’s Wife), Like Father will run on the Hertz Stage beginning in October of this year. Tickets will be available as part of a season ticket package in March and individually beginning in May.

After a six year hiatus, Tony nominee Daniel J. Watts is returning to Joe’s Pub with the 11th instalment of his spoken word/storytelling series Daniel J. Watts’ The Jam: SHED on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. 

Not to stress anyone out, but we are 132 days away from the 79th Annual Tony Awards. Today it was announced that the 2026 Tonys will be back at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, 2026 on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ at 8:00pm ET. The Tony Awards eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season is Sunday, April 26, 2026 for all Broadway productions, and nominations will be announced the morning of Tuesday, May 5, 2026. 

The smash-hit play Oh, Mary!, written by Cole Escole, will play select cities across the U.S. beginning fall 2026. 

The Broadway revival of Chess starring Nicholas Christopher, Aaron Tveit, and Lea Michele will record a Broadway cast album on Jan. 26. The album’s release date will be announced shortly. 

Kids’ Night on Broadway will return on Tuesday Feb. 24, allowing anyone 18 and under to attend a participating Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult.
