Bust a move! Justin Peck has won the Tony Award for Best Choreography for Illinoise! Peck was crowned onstage at the 2024 Tony Awards at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater. He beat out fellow fantastic nominees Camille A. Brown for Hell's Kitchen, Jesse Robb and Shana Carroll For Water for Elephants, Rick Kuperman and Jeff Kuperman For The Outsiders, and Annie-B Parson For Here Lies Love.

This marks Peck's second Tony nomination and second win. He previously won his first Tony Award for his outstanding work on the 2018 revival production of Carousel.

Based on the Sufjan Stevens album, ”Illinois,” and told through live music performed by an 11-member band, three vocalists and impressionistic choreography, a group of friends gather around a campfire, sharing stories of first love, grief, and growing up in this new musical.
