Micaela Diamond, Bobby Cannavale, Steven Pasquale, More Join Sondheim’s HERE WE ARE At The Shed

The full cast and performance dates for the highly anticipated world premiere of Stephen Sondheim and David Ives' new musical, Here We Are, has been announced. The new musical begins previews on September 28, 2023, with an official opening set for October 22. 

Francois Battiste, Tracie Bennett, Bobby Cannavale, Micaela Diamond, Amber Gray, Jin Ha, Rachel Bay Jones, Denis O'Hare, Steven Pasquale, David Hyde Pierce, and Jeremy Shamos will all star in Here We Are, alongside Bradley Dean, Adam Harrington, Bligh Voth, Adante Carter, Mehry Eslaminia, and Lindsay Nicole Chambers as understudies. 

The two-time Tony Award-winning director Joe Mantello will be overseeing the direction of Here We Are, which will also feature choreography by Sam Pinkleton, set and costume design by David Zinn, lighting by Natasha Katz, sound by Tom Gibbons, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, musical direction and supervision by Alexander Gemignani, hair design by Wigmaker Associates, and casting by The Telsey Office. 

The musical is based on two Luis Buuel movies, The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and The Exterminating Angel, and it has music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Tony Award nominee David Ives. 

Here We Are is produced by Tom Kirdahy, Sue Wagner, John Johnson, and The Stephen Sondheim Trust. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, July 20, at noon.
