There’s a new bunch on the “road to hell” this fall. Starting Sept. 2, Hadestown will feature an all-new principle cast, including Broadway veteran Rebecca Naomi Jones as Persephone, Tony Award-winner Paulo Szot as Hades, West End breakout star Jack Wolfe as Orpheus, Disney star Morgan Dudley as Eurydice, Grammy Award-winner Kurt Elling as Hermes. This marks the first time the full principle cast has changed at once since the Tony Award winning musical opened in 2019.

The show’s current stars —  Ali Louis Bourzgui, Phillip Boykin, Daniel Breaker, Lana Gordon, and Myra Molloy — will take their final bow on Aug. 31. Jeffrey Cornelius and Ayla Ciccone-Burton also join the company on Sept. 1. Jack Wolfe will not perform in Hadestown from Sept. 9 to 21.

The new stars will join Marla Louissaint, Jessie Shelton, and Kay Trinidad as the Fates, along with ensemble Emily Afton, Malcolm Armwood, Timothy H. Lee, Sydney Parra, and Alex Puette. The cast includes swings Brandon Cameron, KC Dela Cruz, Max Kumangai, Alex Lugo, and Tanner Ray Wilson.

Hadestown follows two intertwining love stories — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. The musical audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. It features music, lyrics, and a book by Anaïs Mitchell and was directed by Rachel Chavkin. It won eight Tony Award in 2019, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Scenic Design of a Musical, Best Lighting Design of a Musical, and Best Orchestrations.

Hadestown is in performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre on West 48th Street in New York City. For tickets and more information, visit here
