Peter Hylenski has won Best Sound Design of a Musical at the 74th Annual Tony Awards for his work on Moulin Rouge! The Musical. This is his eighth Tony nomination and first win. He was previously nominated for his work on Rock of Ages, The Scottsboro Boys, Motown the Musical, After Midnight, Once on This Island, King Kong, and Beetlejuice.

Hylenski beat out fellow nominees Jonathan Deans (Jagged Little Pill) and Nevin Steinberg (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical).

Previous Broadway credits include: Beetlejuice, Manilow Broadway, Dave Chappelle on Broadway, Criss Angel Raw-The Mindfreak Unplugged, and Regina Spektor: Live on Broadway.
