The Broadway revival of Spamalot is wrapping up sooner than expected. Its final performance at the St. James Theatre is set for Sunday, April 7, 2024. A national tour is set to launch in fall of 2025.

“I am so proud of the entire cast, creative team, musicians and crew for their hard work and for delivering the highest level of joy and laughter back on Broadway when we need this more than ever,” said producer Jeffrey Finn. “I’m also honored to continue the long legacy of Kennedy Center productions transferring to Broadway so audiences beyond DC can experience this glorious production of SPAMALOT at the St. James Theatre.”

The musical stars Alex Brightman as Sir Lancelot (taking over for Taran Killam), Christopher Fitzgerald as Patsy, James Monroe Iglehart as King Arthur, Jonathan Bennett as Sir Robin, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer as The Lady of the Lake, Tony Award nominee Ethan Slater as The Historian/Prince Herbert, Jimmy Smagula as Sir Bedevere and Nik Walker as Sir Galahad along with David Josefsberg, Graham Stevens, Daniel Beeman, Maria Briggs, Gabriella Enriquez, Michael Fatica, Denis Lambert, Shina Ann Morris, Kaylee Olson, Kristin Piro, Drew Redington, Tyler Roberts, Anju Cloud, Darrell T. Joe, Lily Kaufmann, and Charlie Sutton.

The musical, which originally debuted on Broadway in 2005, boasts a script and lyrics by Eric Idle, alongside music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle. Its original Broadway rendition garnered fourteen Tony Award nominations and took home three wins, including Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical (Mike Nichols), and Best Featured Actress (Sara Ramirez as The Lady of the Lake). We will see what the 2024 Tony Awards brings for this revival that comes by way of the Kennedy Center in DC.
