The name on everybody’s lips is gonna be…Trisha! It was just announced that YouTuber and social media maven Trisha Paytas will step into the role of Roxie Hart on Broadway in Chicago. Starting Tuesday, June 4, Paytas will make her Broadway debut at the Ambassador Theatre and conclude her run on Sunday, August 18.

“It has always been a dream of mine to make it to the Great White Way and I could not be more thrilled to be making my debut in this show. Ever since watching the movie, I have been humming these songs everyday, and even did the Hot Honey Rag at my wedding! I am ready to get to New York and meet the cast and get to work,” says Paytas.

With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is now the number one longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

The current cast of Chicago features Ariana Madix as Roxie Hart, Robin Hurder as Velma Kelly, Max von Essen as Billy Flynn, Lili Thomas as Matron “Mama” Morton, Red Concepción as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine. The cast also includes Eddie Bennett, Max Clayton, Kristine Covillo, Jennnifer Dunne, Jessica Ernest, Jeff Gorti, Arian Keddell, Mary Claire King, Marty Lawson, Joseph London, Sharon Moore, Drew Nellessen, Kristen Faith Oei, Denny Paschall, Angel Reda, Jermaine R. Rembert, Michael Scirrotto, and Colt Adam Weiss.

APRIL FOOLS! Unfortunately, this is not true and just comes from the brains of the Theatrely Editorial team but we would want nothing more than for Trisha to head to Broadway and we are here and waiting for when that day comes!
