Adrienne Warren has won Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical at the 74th Annual Tony Awards for her performance as Tina Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. This is her second Tony nomination and first win. She was previously nominated for her performance in Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed as Gertude Saunders/Florence Mills.

Warren beat out fellow nominees Karen Olivo (Moulin Rouge!) and Elizabeth Stanley (Jagged Little Pill).

Previous Broadway credits include: Bring It On The Musical (Danielle) and Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed (Gertrude Saunders/Florence Mills). 

Warren originated the role of Tina Turner in the West End production of Tina in 2018, and received an Olivier Award nomination for her performance.

Warren is set to return to her role in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical for a limited engagement upon its reopening Friday, October 8, 2021.
