Billy Porter and Marisha Wallace To Lead CABARET On Broadway For Final 13 Weeks
“Maybe this time, we’ll be lucky.” The Broadway production of Cabaret is, in fact, lucky! Billy Porter and Marisha Wallace will reprise their roles as the Emcee and Sally Bowles after a successful run at the Kit Kat Club on the West End. They will perform for a limited 13-week engagement beginning July 22, after which Cabaret will close on Broadway.
“I can think of no better way to celebrate this production’s incredible run on Broadway than by welcoming Billy and Marisha into the company for our final thirteen weeks,” director Rebecca Frecknall said in a statement. “They brought down the house every night on the West End, and I cannot wait for Broadway audiences to experience the electricity they generate together.”
Cabaret currently stars Orville Peck as the Emcee and Eva Noblezada as Sally Bowles. They will play their final performance on July 20.
