Several stars will reprise their roles from the out-of-town tryout for the Britney Spears jukebox musical Once Upon a One More Time. EW reports the Broadway premiere will see Briga Heelan again playing Cinderella with Justin Guarini as Prince Charming and Aisha Jackson as Snow White.

As previously announced, the show begins previews May 13 at the Marquis Theatre ahead of a June 22 opening night.

The musical follows a group of famous fairy-tale princesses as they search for a new narrative that embodies the feminist ideals of today. Among the well-known figures are Cinderella (along with new takes on the stepmother, stepsisters, and fairy godmother), Prince Charming, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood, with several new characters as well.

Using songs like “Lucky,” “Toxic,” “Oops… I Did It Again,” and more, the show features an original story written by Jon Hartmere, set to songs made popular by the Princess of Pop herself.

Once Upon a One More Time is directed and choreographed by Keone and Mari Madrid. The Broadway creative team will include creative consultant David Leveaux, scenic designer Anna Fleischle, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, sound designer Andrew Keister, production designer Sven Ortel, costume designer Loren Elstein, and wig designer Nikiya Mathis. Casting is by Hardt Casting.

The musical had a world premiere that opened in November 2021 at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., also starring Emily Skinner, Brooke Dillman, Ashley Chiu, Raymond J. Lee, Wonu Ogunfowora, Ryan Steele, Morgan Weed, Lauren Zakrin, Stephen Brower, and Michael McGrath. More casting for the Broadway premiere will be announced later.
