Go Backstage With Ruthie Ann Miles at SWEENEY TOOD | Photo Journal

God, That’s Good! Anytime we get to hang out with Ruthie Ann Miles is a good time in our book. Photographer Michael Kushner spent time with Miles backstage at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway for his Dressing Room Project, a photo series following stars as they prepare to go on. Miles stars as the Beggar Woman in Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. With choreography by Steven Hoggett and music supervision by Alex Lacamoire, Thomas Kail directs this latest revival. The production went on to be nominated for eight Tony Awards this past summer and won for both Best Sound Design and Best Lighting Design of a Musical. 

In addition to Miles, Sweeney Todd stars Josh Groban, Annaleigh Ashford, Gaten Matarazzo, Daniel Yearwood, Maria Bilbao, Jamie Jackson, John Rapson, Nicholas Christopher and Jeanna De Waal.
