New grub on Skid Row! Jinkx Monsoon and James Carpinello will be heading over to the Westside Theatre to star as Audrey and Orin Scrivello in Little Shop of Horrors. Corbin Bleu will be rejoining the cast as Seymour after having played the role this past fall/winter. They will all begin performances on April 2nd.

Monsoon made her Broadway debut in January of 2023 in Chicago on Broadway. She will be making her return to Chicago this June for 20 performances only.

The Michael Mayer-helmed revival of Little Shop of Horrors opened October 17th, 2019.  The current cast features Evan Rachel Wood as Audrey, Darren Chris as Seymour, and Bryce Pinkham as Orin Scrivello. They will all playing their final performances March 31st.

The musical, featuring a book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, and music by Alan Menken, follows Seymour, a down-on-his-luck florist with a crush on his co-worker (who is dating a sadistic dentist). When he befriends a mysterious—and blood-thirsty—plant, an epic battle unfolds that will determine the fate of the entire human race.

The production features choreography by Ellenore Scott, scenic design by Julian Crouch, lighting design by Bradley King, costume design by Tom Broecker, sound design by Jessica Paz, puppet designer by Nicholas Mahon, (based on original puppet design by Martin P. Robinson); puppets by Monkey Boys Productions, hair and makeup design by Tommy Kurzman, and music supervision by Will Van Dyke. Casting is by Jim Carnahan.
