Live in living color! Julio Torres’ Color Theories has announced its creative team. Torres makes his Off-Broadway debut at Performance Space New York from Sept. 3 to 21, 2025, with official opening on Sept. 10.

The team includes scenic designer Tommaso Ortino, costume designer Muriel Parra, lighting designer Emmanuel Delgado, composer Lia Ouyang Rusli, video and projections designer André Azevedo Sweet, director of photography Sam Levy, puppets by Monkey Boys Productions, and artistic consultant Jack Serio. Torres is writing, directing, and performing the show.

Torres recently won a Peabody Award for his HBO series Fantasmas.

Color Theories blends standup, design, and dream logic into an exploration of color, emotion, and identity that is equal parts comedy, theater, and art piece.

“I have some untested theories about colors that I’d like to explain via this multimedia, potentially synesthetic experience,” Torres said in a statement.

Color Theories runs at Performance Space New York on 1st Ave. in New York City from Sept. 3 to 21. For tickets and more information, visit here
