This isn't your average schoolyard. Pulitzer Prize Finalist Rajiv Joseph’s Gruesome Playground Injuries will return to the New York stage in a new production starring Succession’s Nicholas Braun and two-time Tony Award winner Kara Young. The production will be directed by Neil Pepe.

Gruesome Playground Injuries begins performances off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on Nov. 7 and will run through Dec. 28.

The play tells the story of Kayleen and Doug, whose lives intersect at bizarre intervals over the course of 30 years. The childhood friends compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together.

"I have known and loved Rajiv Joseph's work for years and am thrilled to be directing this seminal play,” director Pepe said in a statement. “And to have the opportunity to work with these two extraordinary actors, Kara Young and Nicholas Braun, is a gift."

Lucille Lortel Theatre members can purchase tickets now. Tickets go on sale exclusively on TodayTix on Sept. 26, and on sale to the general public beginning Sept. 29 at 10 a.m.

Gruesome Playground Injuries runs at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on Christopher Street in New York City from Nov. 7 to Dec. 28. For more information, visit here.
