The hills of tomorrow look radiant! The Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along has announced its home for the Fall 2023 season, as well as additional casting. Previews will begin September 19 at the Hudson Theatre. An opening night will be revealed later.

As previously announced, the cast features Lindsay Mendez as Mary, Daniel Radcliffe as Charley, Krystal Joy Brown as Gussie Carnegie, Katie Rose Clarke as Beth Shepard, and Reg Rogers as Joe Josephson. Joining them will be Sherz Aletaha, Leana Rae Concepcion, Morgan Kirner, Corey Mach, Talia Robinson, Amanda Rose, Jamila Sabares-Klemm, Brian Sears, Evan Alexander Smith, Christian Strange, Koray Tarhan, Vishal Vaidya, Natalie Wachen, and Jacob Keith Watson.

As in the New York Theatre Workshop production Off-Broadway, the Broadway staging will be directed by Maria Friedman, with choreography by Tim Jackson and orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick. 

Featuring a score by Stephen Sondheim, a book by George Furth, and based on the original play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, Merrily We Roll Along spans three decades in the entertainment business and is told in reverse chronological order. The musical follows the turbulent relationship between composer Franklin Shepard and his two lifelong friends: writer Mary and lyricist-playwright Charley.

Serving on the creative team for for the NYTW production were Catherine Jayes as music supervisor, and Alvin Hough, Jr. as music director. The design team includes scenic and costume designer Soutra Gilmour, lighting designer Amith Chandrashaker, and sound designer Kai Harada. Casting is by Jim Carnahan and Jason Thinger with additional casting by Taylor Williams. Dave Anzuelo serves as fight and intimacy director with Jhanaë K-C Bonnick as stage manager. More details about the Broadway production team will be announced later. 

Merrily We Roll Along is presented by special arrangement with Sonia Friedman Productions, the Menier Chocolate Factory, and Patrick Catullo.
