The Acting Company is bringing back its Louanna O. Carlin & John MacDonald reading series with a presentation of Kia Corthron’s Sam’s Coming. The public event is set for April 18 at The Mainstage Theater Off-Broadway, with a reception to follow the performance.

Sam’s Coming will be directed by Adrienne D. Williams. Starring are Arnie Burton, Pamela Dunlap, Jules Latimer, John Lenartz, April Matthis, Forrest McClendon, and more. The work follows Beedee, a longtime department store employee who begins to question her life as she is visited by late Walmart CEO Sam Walton.

For tickets, click here. All audience members will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and photo ID. Masks will be required at all times throughout the performance.

The Acting Company aims to build a discerning theatre audience by developing actors and touring professional theatre across America. Founded in 1972, it has since launched the career of hundreds of performers, and won the 2003 Tony Award for Excellence in the Theater.
