TikTok sensation Cheryl Porter and HELL'S KITCHEN's Gianna Harris Join & JULIET
You’re gonna hear them roar! Gianna Harris, who is finishing up her run in Hell’s Kitchen, will star as the title role in & Juliet starting June 10. Alongside her, viral TikTok vocal coach Cherly Porter will make her Broadway debut as Angélique starting Aug. 7 for a limited 13-week engagement.
Harris will take over the role of Juliet from Maya Bond, who has been with the show since May 2024 and plays her final performance on June 8. Porter steps into the shoes of Tony nominee Jeannette Bayardelle, who wraps up her run on Aug. 3.
In Hell’s Kitchen, Harris has taken on the role of Ali Alternate in the Original Broadway Cast. She was with the company when Hell’s Kitchen played the Public Theatre, and was in the original company of The Perfect Fit The Musical Off-Broadway. She understudied the role of Tomika in School of Rock The Musical on Broadway before taking over the role in the First National Tour.
Known to millions on TikTok as Mama Cheryl, Porter is a classically trained opera singer who has performed internationally for over 30 years. She voiced “The Circle of Life” in Italian for The Lion King in 2019.
Harris and Porter will join Joey Fatone (Lance), Alison Luff (Anne), Drew Gehling (Shakespeare), Liam Pearce (Romeo), Michael Iván Carrier (May), and Nathan Levy (Francois). TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio is part of the show’s current ensemble.
& Juliet turns Shakespeare’s greatest love story on its head, imagining what would happen if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo. In the show, she gets a second chance at life, all on her own terms. Through an epic playlist of pop anthems — from Katy Perry to the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears — Juliet gets to write her own story.
The show was nominated for nine Tony Awards in 2023, including Best Musical, and has remained a fan-favorite since.
