The Clintons are all over this theatre season! Last night, Chelsea Clinton attended The White Chip Off Broadway on behalf of the Clinton Foundation. In partnership with The White Chip, the Clinton Foundation provided Narcan to the audience, ensuring that everyone could be prepared to assist in times of need.

We were fortunate to be part of the audience for the show, where Mrs. Clinton shared insightful words about alcoholism and emphasized the need for unity in addressing these issues in America. “Millions of Americans suffer in shame and silence with substance use disorders and addiction. Where we at the Clinton Foundation have chosen to focus our efforts is to try to ensure that no one dies of an overdose, because any of us could save a life if we have Narcan”  Mrs. Clinton stated. “We are lucky enough to live in a state where you can get Narcan over the counter. So my hope for this evening is that you both take the Narcan that could help you save someone’s life, and that you talk to your communities about how they too can save someone’s life.”

In The White Chip, Steven is on top of the world and steps away from his dream job running one of the most exciting theatres in the country, but also an alcoholic spinning out of control. The play follows his life from first sip to first love and all the way to rock bottom, where he begins his wild—hilarious and heartbreaking journey to recovery.
