Christopher Nightingale has won Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics Written for the Theatre) at the 74th Annual Tony Awards for his incidental music for A Christmas Carol. This is his second Tony nomination and first win. He was previously nominated for Best Orchestrations for Matilda the Musical.

Nightingale beat out fellow nominees Paul Englishby (The Inheritance), Fitz Patton & Jason Michael Webb (The Rose Tattoo), Lindsay Jones (Slave Play), and Daniel Kluger (The Sound Inside).

Previous Broadway credits: Groundhog Day, Matilda the Musical, Ghost the Musical, and Bombay Dreams.
