This girl is on FIRE! Maleah Joi Moon just won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her outstanding performance of Ali in the Broadway production of Hell's Kitchen. Moon was honored at the 2024 Tony Awards at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater. She beat out fellow nominees Kelli O'Hara for Days of Wine and Roses, Maryann Plunkett for The Notebook, Gayle Rankin for Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, and Eden Espinosa for Lempicka.

This not only marks Maleah Joi Moon’s first Tony nomination and win but also her Broadway debut. Moon was featured on Disney Television Discovers: Talent Showcase in 2022. While this is just her first production, we at Theatrely expect big things to come in the future for this rising star.

There’s a place where the rhythm of the city is music, where every corner has a story, and every window is a kaleidoscope. Where a girl can step out of her apartment and find the world. That’s Hell’s Kitchen, a new musical from Alicia Keys that’s about to make Broadway feel brand new.
