Could this night get any “Better?” Bonnie Milligan has won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for her stellar performance as Aunt Debra in Kimberly Akimbo. She was crowned at the 2023 Tony Awards onstage at the United Palace. Milligan beat out fellow nominees Julia Lester for Into the Woods, Ruthie Ann Miles for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, NaTasha Yvette Williams for Some Like It Hot, and Betsy Wolfe for & Juliet.

Bonnie Milligan made her Broadway debut in Head Over Heels as Pamela, which earned her a Theatre World Award in 2019. She can also be seen on screen in Search Party, New Amsterdam, Escape at Dannemora, and Chicago Fire. Prior to winning her Tony Award, Milligan was also honored with the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Featured Performer in a Musical for her performance in Kimberly Akimbo

Kimberly Akimbo follows a bright and funny Jersey teen, who happens to look like a 72-year-old lady. Forced to maneuver family secrets, borderline personalities, and possible felony charges, Kim is determined to find happiness in a world where not even time is on her side.
