Mary Todd is hitting the road! The smash-hit play Oh, Mary!, written by Cole Escole, will play select cities across the U.S. beginning fall 2026.

The production will tech and launch at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT, and will visit Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. Engagement details, additional cities, casting, and ticket information will be announced soon.

Oh, Mary! opened on Broadway in July 2024 and continues to play at the Lyceum Theatre. It was the first production in the theatre’s 121-yaer history to gross over $1 million in a single week, and has broken its own box office record 12 times. It recently transferred to London’s West End, where it opened to rave reviews. Escola won a Tony Award for their performance in the play’s titular role, and director Sam Pinkleton was recognized for Best Direction of a Play in 2025.

The play is a dark comedy about a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. Unrequited yearning, alcoholism, and suppressed desires abound in this one-act play that finally examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln through the lens of an idiot (playwright Cole Escola).
