“Welcome to our little town!” Schmigadoon! is coming to Broadway! The production, based on the Apple Original series from Universal Television of the same name, will begin previews at the Nederlander Theatre on April 4, 2026 with an opening night set for April 20 and will run through Sept. 6.

Schmigadoon is a love letter to the Golden Age of movie musicals,” producer Lorne Michaels said in a statement. “It’s a little bit nostalgic and a lot of fun. We’re very excited to bring it to Broadway.”

The show follows New York doctors Josh and Melissa who set out on a couples’ backpacking retreat to rekindle their flame. They instead find themselves in Schmigadoon, a magical town where a Golden Age musical comes to life. The townspeople won’t stop singing, the bridge out of the town leads nowhere, and the only way to escape is by finding true love—which may or may not be with each other.

It is based on the TV series of the same name, which features a book and Emmy-award winning score by Cinco Paul.

Cast and additional creative team will be announced at a later date. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Oct. 15, and fans can register now for the 24-hour presale on Oct. 14.

Scmigadoon runs at the Nederlander Theatre on West 40th Street in New York City from April 4, 2026 to Sept. 6, 2026. For tickets and more information, visit here
