They call us “lady luck,” because Sinatra The Musical is coming to the West End in 2026! The new musical is set to begin performances at Aldwych Theatre in London on June 3, 2026.
Featuring over 20 timeless hits, including That’s Life, One for My Baby, The Best is Yet To Come, and Come Fly With Me, Sinatra The Musical tells the story of the legendary singer’s life and career. He struggles with balancing the love of his wife, Nancy, against the demands and temptations of being the most popular singer in America. When news of his torrid affair with movie star Ava Gardner breaks, his career takes a massive blow; he stages one of the greatest comebacks in showbiz history.
“He wasn't just singing songs, he was recording an emotional diary of his life,” Frank Sinatra’s daughter Tina said in a statement. “The show reveals a more intimate portrait of the man than any interview or headline ever could. And just like my dad, it's full of music and passion and humour. I am so proud to share his story — our story — at long last.”
The musical is written by two-time Tony award-winner Joe DiPietro, and directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall. Set design is by Olivier Award-winner Peter McKintosh; costume design is by Jon Morrell; lighting design is by Bruno Poet; sound design is by Jonathan Deans, video design is by Akhila Krishnan; and wigs, hair, and makeup design is by Campbell Young Associates.
The seventeen-musician orchestra will be supervised by Gareth Valentine, with orchestrations by Larry Blank and John Clayton, and arrangements by Ian Eisendrath.
"When Tina Sinatra approached me about writing a show detailing the origins of her father's genius, she gave me unprecedented access to her dad's personal story,” director DiPietro said in a statement. “Tina's willingness to share the trials and triumphs of her father's life has enabled Kathleen, myself and this remarkable team of theatre artists to create the most revealing portrait ever told about the legend that is Frank Sinatra."
Casting for Sinatra The Musical will be announced at a later date. It was originally produced at The Birmingham Rep where it played a sell-out season in 2023.
