Attend the tale one last time. The Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will be closing on May 5th. Currently starring Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster, they will continue their roles through the closing date of May 5th. At the time of closing, Sweeney Todd will have played 27 previews and 399 regular performances.

Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster joined the cast, replacing both Annaleigh Ashford and Josh Groban, who originated the roles in this current revival.

The production also features Joe Locke as Toby, Tony winner Ruthie Ann Miles as Beggar Woman, Daniel Yearwood as Anthony, Maria Bilbao as Johanna, Jamie Jackson as Judge Turpin, John Rapson as Beadle Bamford, and Nicholas Christopher as Pirelli.

Sweeney Todd is directed by Thomas Kail, and the revival was nominated for eight Tony Awards, winning Best Lighting Design of a Musical and Best Sound Design of a Musical.

This production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is scheduled to tour starting next year.
