The circus is coming to an end. The Broadway premiere of Water for Elephants will be packing up its tent this December. The musical will play its final performance at the Imperial Theatre on Sunday, December 8, 2024. At time of closing, Water for Elephants will have played 25 previews and 301 regular performances. 

The national tour of will launch in Baltimore, MD at the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center in the Fall of 2025. Additional cities will announce their engagements over the next several months.

The current company includes Kyle Selig, Isabelle McCalla, four-time Tony Award nominee Gregg Edelman, Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Award nominee Paul Alexander Nolan, Philippe Aymard, Stan Brown, Sara Gettelfinger and Wade McCollum and features Brandon Block, Chita Rivera Award winner Antoine Boissereau, Paul Castree, Ken Wulf Clark, Taylor Colleton, Gabriel Olivera de Paula Costa, Samantha Gershman, Nicolas Jelmoni, Caroline Kane, Harley McLeish, Michael Mendez, Marina Mendoza, Meghane Poulet, Samuel Renaud, Marissa Rosen, Alexandra Gaelle Royer, Asa Somers, Charles South, Sean Stack, Matthew Varvar, Michelle West and Conor Wild.
