Willkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome! The much acclaimed London revival of Cabaret will premiere on Broadway next Spring at the August Wilson Theatre. The beloved Kander & Ebb musical of 1930s Berlin has been wowing West End audiences since late 2021 and now American audiences will get to experience the glamor of the Kit Kat Club.

The London production, directed by Rebecca Frecknall who recently directed the Almeida’s A Streetcar Named Desire starring Paul Mescal, began performances in November 2021 starring Eddie Redmayne as the Emcee and Jessie Buckley as Sally Bowles. Since then many notable replacements have entered the Kit Kat Club including Fra Fee and Amy Lennox, Callum Scott Howells and Madeline Brewer, Aimee Lou Wood and John McCrea, and currently Maude Apatow and Mason Alexander Park.

The production won seven Olivier Awards in 2022 including Best Musical Revival, Best Actor for Redmayne, Best Actress for Buckley, Best Supporting Actor for Elliot Levey as Herr Schultz, Best Supporting Actress for Liza Sadovy as Fraulein Schneider, Best Direction for Rebecca Frecknall, and Best Sound Design for Nick Lidster.

The Playhouse Theatre in London was fully refurbished and renovated to an extremely intimate in-the-round staging with  exciting pre-show immersive opportunities. All eyes will be on designer Tom Scutt to see how the August Wilson will get transformed after the current revival of Funny Girl starring Lea Michele concludes its run this September.

Cabaret was last seen on Broadway in 2014, when Roundabout Theatre Company brought back their acclaimed 1998 production at Studio 54. The production starred Alan Cumming and michelle Williams.

Dates and casting will be announced soon. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.
