Mark Ballas will be reunited with his Dancing With The Stars Whitney Leavitt on Broadway in Chicago for a limited four-week engagement. Ballas will take the stage as Billy Flynn opposite Leavitt’s Roxy Hart from April 6 to May 3.

Looks like we will be packing our bags for Atlanta! Today, it was announced that the bold new musical Like Father from Theatrely31 alum Jacob Ryan Smith and Caroline Pernick will have its world premiere production at Georgia’s Alliance Theatre. Directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden (The Preacher’s Wife), Like Father will run on the Hertz Stage beginning in October of this year. Tickets will be available as part of a season ticket package in March and individually beginning in May.

After a six year hiatus, Tony nominee Daniel J. Watts is returning to Joe’s Pub with the 11th instalment of his spoken word/storytelling series Daniel J. Watts’ The Jam: SHED on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. 

Not to stress anyone out, but we are 132 days away from the 79th Annual Tony Awards. Today it was announced that the 2026 Tonys will be back at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, 2026 on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ at 8:00pm ET. The Tony Awards eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season is Sunday, April 26, 2026 for all Broadway productions, and nominations will be announced the morning of Tuesday, May 5, 2026. 

The smash-hit play Oh, Mary!, written by Cole Escole, will play select cities across the U.S. beginning fall 2026. 

The Broadway revival of Chess starring Nicholas Christopher, Aaron Tveit, and Lea Michele will record a Broadway cast album on Jan. 26. The album’s release date will be announced shortly. 

Kids’ Night on Broadway will return on Tuesday Feb. 24, allowing anyone 18 and under to attend a participating Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan will star as Bobby Darin in the smash hit Just in Time beginning April 21. He takes over the role from Jonathan Groff, whose final performance is Sunday, March 29.

Summer’s just around the corner, and the Cape Playhouse has announced its 2026 season. The season will include Nat Zegree’s Mozart to Pop Chart, Into the Woods, Hairspray, Mean Girls, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

The New York Neo-Futurists have promoted ensemble members Amelia Bethel and Julia Melfi to Co-Artistic Directors and hired Sean Tecson as General Manager. Founding ensemble member and outgoing Artistic Director Rob Neill will remain with the ensemble and serve in a consulting role during the transition. 

This fall in New York City, the weather might be getting colder, but not at Magic Mike Live. Today, it was announced that the global sensation that has played across the world from London, to Vegas, and beyond, will finally make its way to midtown Manhattan. Created and directed by Channing Tatum, performances for Magic Mike Live will begin October 8, 2026 with an official opening night set for October 22 in a newly renovated, multifunction and custom built venue just steps from Times Square. 

Ingram will begin performances on Feb. 3, 2026 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Sarita Choudhury, Michael Cyril Creighton, Daphne Rubin-Vega, and Jennifer Tilly will star in The Adding Machine by Elmer L. Rice, with revisions by Thomas Bradshaw, this spring at The Theater at St. Clement’s as part of The New Group’s 2026 season.

Tony Award winners Beth Leavel, Matt Doyle, and Marissa Jaret Winokur will take the stage alongside Kevin Chamberlin, Adam Heller, and Tomás Matos in the world premier production of When Playwrights Kill at Boston’s Huntington Theatre this April. The play will run for a strictly limited engagement from April 3 to 18, 2026. 

Today it was announced that Hell’s Kitchen will end its run on Broadway after nearly two years on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Original company member and Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon will return to the role of Davis beginning Tuesday, January 27, 2026 through the remainder of the run. The musical made its world premiere on October 24, 2023 down at The Public Theater before moving uptown to the Shubert Theatre where it celebrated its opening night on April 20, 2024. The show went on to be nominated for 13 Tony nominations, and took home two for Maleah Joi Moon and Kecia Lewis. 

Oh what a celebration we’ll have today! It was announced that Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande will team up again following Wicked for a new stage production of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George. Performances will begin at the Barbican Centre in London during Summer 2027. 

It was announced today that David Cromer will mount Lindsey Ferrentino’s visceral play The Fear of 13, based on the documentary directed by David Sington. This will mark two-time Oscar winner Adrien Brody’s Broadway debut, as well as Tessa Thompson’s debut. The Fear of 13 tells the extraordinary true story of Nick Yarris, who spends more than two decades on death row for a murder he insists he did not commit. Through a series of prison visits with a volunteer named Jackie, Nick traces a life shaped by impulse and consequence. As Nick and Jackie’s conversations deepen, the line between witness and participant blurs, forcing both to confront what justice demands, what belief requires, and the perilous distance between true freedom and the illusion of self-determination. By turns devastating, darkly funny, and life-affirming, The Fear of 13 is a powerful exploration of truth and trust, conscience and connection.
