These are their stories. *bom bom*

Last year Theatrely decided to see just how many Tony nominees had appeared in the Law & Order universe, with 12 actors across 50 episodes of the show. Well this year, there are even more nominees (18) and more episodes (55 to be exact)! Throughout the years, many of your favorite theatre stars have lent their talents to the decades-long crime franchise in various background, cameo, and supporting roles.

This year’s Tony nominees are no exception. For Theatrely’s Tonys Encyclopedia, we scoured IMDB to note all nominated performers who have appeared in the L&O universe and exactly which episodes. Combined, this year’s nominees have appeared in 55 unique episodes throughout Law & Order and its subsequent spinoff series (Special Victims Unit, Organized Crime, Criminal Intent, U.K, and Trial by Jury).

*Fun fact: two nominees from this year have appeared on the same episode of Law & Order: Trial By Jury (Wendell Pierce and Jessica Chastain on S1.E13 "Eros in the Upper Eighties."
