The staging of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s Tony-winning musical will begin August 6 at Barrington Stage Company. 

The Importance of Being Earnest, currently playing at Berkshire Theatre Group’s Unicorn Theatre in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is pretty marvelous. Oscar Wilde’s witty comedic masterpiece begins BTG’s summer season and marks the company’s and this critic’s first indoor theatrical experience in many, many months. 

Berkshire Theatre Group announces casting for two summer shows, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Nina Simone: Four Women.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), under the leadership of Founder/Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, has announced casting for the season’s outdoor productions Who Could Ask for Anything More? The Songs of George Gershwin and the world premiere play, Boca, and a line-up of Broadway stars who will perform in concert under a tent at BSC’s Production Center (34 Laurel Street).
