Under the Radar has announced its 2026 festival, which will take place from Jan. 7 to 25, 2026 in New York City.
Nell Benjamin and Laurence O’Keefe — composers of Legally Blonde — are premiering a new musical Huzzah! at The Old Globe in San Diego. The musical is produced by special arrangement with No Guarantees Productions, and will have a limited six-week engagement from Sept. 13 to Oct. 19. The cast will include Legally Blonde legend Kate Shindle.
Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre is mounting its next musical, Mexodus. Previews begin Sept. 9. and opening night is set for Sept. 18. The show will be recorded and released as an Audible Original at a later date.
The Off-Broadway revival of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has found its spellers. Philippe Arroyo will play Chip Tolentino, Leana Rae Concepcion will play Marcy Park, Tony Nominee Justin Cooley will play Leaf Coneybear, and Kevin McHale will make his New York stage debut as William Barfée.
As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, Hamilton will host a special fan-filled performance. On its official 10th anniversary, Aug. 6, the matinee will have a minimum of 1,000 seats in the Richard Rogers Theatre available for lottery prices: $10.
