The Notebook’s North American Tour will launch in September beginning at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square. It will play over 30 cities across the nation through the end of August 2026.
Kimberly Belflower will adapt her hit play John Proctor is the Villain for the big screen. Tina Fey and Marc Platt will serve as producers, Sadie Sink — who was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Shelby in the play — will executive produce. Universal picked up the film rights to the play in a competitive battle, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
River Lipe-Smith will make thier Off-Broadway debut starring as the titular Caroline in MCC Theatre’s world premier of Caroline by Preston Max Allen. The play, directed by Tony Award-winner David Cromer, will also feature Amy Landecker and Chloë Grace Moretz. It begins performances on Sept. 12, with opening night on Sept. 30, through Oct. 19.

2025 Emmy Award Nominee Michael Urie, Oscar and Emmy Award nominee Kumail Nanjiani, and Jenn Harris will join the cast of Oh, Mary! beginning Aug. 4 through Sept. 28. They will join the company alongside Jinkx Monsoon as Mary Todd Lincoln. Conrad Ricamora, James Scully, and Bianca Leigh, who originated their roles Off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel and on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre, along with the current ‘Mary Todd Lincoln,’ Tituss Burgess, will play their final performances on Aug. 2.
