Ainsley Melham will return to Broadway’s Aladdin in the title role from Aug. 26 to Nov. 30. Melham originated the role in the Australian production in 2016 and joined the Broadway company for several months in 2019, marking his Broadway debut. He will take over from Adi Roy, who will play his final performance on Aug. 24. 

Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) will open on Broadway this fall at the Longacre Theatre. Previews begin Nov. 1 with official opening set for Nov. 20. 

If you asked me what was one of my favorite experiences last year, I would have said The Voices In Your Head co-created by Billy McEntee and directed by Ryan Dobrin. Well those two are teaming up again for a new play for an audience of just five centered around a meal in a Brooklyn Home this fall. Slanted Floors will play for an extremely intimate audience in an apartment in Greenpoint Brooklyn from September 9 - October 10, 2025. The production stars Lortel nominee Adam Chanler-Berat and Lortel and Drama Desk Nominee Kyle Beltran. No-fee tickets cost $55, include a meal, and can now be reserved here. 

Reeve Carney will play the Emcee opposite Eva Noblezada’s Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret from Sept. 22 to Jan. 24, 2026.

The award-winning Off-Broadway cast of Liberation will reprise their performances when the production transfers to Broadway this fall. The company won the Drama Desk Award in 2025 for Best Ensemble Performance. 

The New York Botanical Garden is reviving its Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Train from Sept. 25 to Nov. 30 this year. The immersive nighttime experience — created by Adventurelive — transports visitors to Halloween Town and Christmas Town with brand new scenes, music, and video projections. 

The First North American Tour of Hell’s Kitchen has announced its first three principals. Maya Drake will play Ali, Kennedy Caughell will play Jersey, and Roz White will play Miss Liza Jane. 

Ariana DeBose will star in The Baker’s Wife at Classic Stage Company’s Lynn F. Angelson Theater this Fall. It will run from Oct. 23 to Dec. 14, with official opening set for Nov. 11. 

Emily Breeze’s Are the Bennet Girls Ok? adapted from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is coming to New York’s West End Theatre this fall.

Let’s Love! by Academy Award winner Ethan Coen and starring Aubrey Plaza has announced its full casting. Alongside Plaza will be Chris Bauer, Dylan Gelula, Dion Graham, Mary McCann, Nellie McKay, Noah Robbins, CJ Wilson, and Mary Wiseman.

For the first time, the filmed versionof Hamilton will open in movie theatres across the nation. The theatrical release will take place on Sept. 5, 2025. Tickets are available for purchase at Fandango and anywhere tickets are sold.

Two-time Tony Award-winner Martin will lead the company of Meet the Cartozians alongside Tony Award-winner Will Brill, Raffi Barsoumian, Nael Nacer, Susan Pourfar, and Tamara Sevunts. The play, directed by Tony Award-winner David Cromer, will kick off Second Stage Theater’s 47th Season. 

Victoria Clark is making her way back to the Broadway stage in Manhattan Theatre Club’s Punch this fall. 

Jordan Tannahill’s Prince Faggot is transferring to Studio Seaview on West 43rd Street this fall after an acclaimed run at Playwrights Horizons. The show, directed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Shayok Misha Chowdhury, will play a limited engagement from Sept. 11 to Oct. 25. 

Hamilton is turning New York into a city-wide scavenger hunt in celebration of its 10th anniversary in partnership with New York City Tourism + Conventions as part of Founded by NYC. From Aug. 4 to 24, participants can explore New York landmarks, solve clues, and capture it all for a chance to win tickets to Hamilton on Broadway. 

44 — The Musical will come to the Daryl Roth Theatre Off-Broadway after sold-out runs in Los Angeles and Chicago. It will run for a limited eight-week engagement beginning on Oct. 14, with official opening set for Nov. 6. 

Dear Everything will tour three U.S. cities this year — Miami, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City. 

Exorcistic: The Rock Musical is returning Off Broadway starring Emma Hunton — of Freeform's Good Trouble — at The Asylum NYC for a limited engagement from Aug. 25 to Nov. 22. 

Liberation is coming to Broadway this fall. The original play, which won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble during its premier at Roundabout Theatre Company earlier this year, will begin performances at the James Earl Jones Theatre on Oct. 8. It will play a strictly limited 14-week engagement. 

Julio Torres’ Color Theories has announced its creative team. Torres makes his Off-Broadway debut at Performance Space New York from Sept. 3 to 21, 2025, with official opening on Sept. 10.

Kelli O'Hara will join Tom Hanks’ This World of Tomorrow at the Shed this fall. Previews begin Oct. 30 with an official opening on Nov. 18. The show will play a strictly limited engagement through Dec. 21 at The Shed’s Griffin Theater.

This Three Bedroom House is about to get very exciting! Today, New York City Center has announced a bevy of additional casting to their upcoming Annual Gala presentation of Bat Boy: The Musical directed by Alex Timbers. Joining the previously announced Taylor Trensch will be Original Off-Broadway cast member Kerry Butler as Meredith Parker, along with Tony nominee Andrew Durand as Rick Taylor, Mary Faber as Lorraine, Alan H Green as Bud, Evan Harrington as Ned, John-Michael Lyles as Ron Taylor, Tony winner Alex Newell as The God Pan, Olivia Puckett as Ruthie Taylor, Tony nominee Christopher Sieber as Dr. Parker, Rema Webb as Maggie, and Tony winner Marissa Jaret Winokur as Mrs. Taylor. 

Classic Stage Company will mount a one-night-only benefit concert of The Rink, featuring a book by Terrence McNally, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The concert will star Beth Leavel as Anna and Jessie Mueller as Angel, and take place on Sept. 15 ay 7 p.m. at CSC’s Lynn F. Angelson Theater. 

Mia Carragher will play the iconic role of Katniss Everdeen in the stage adaptation of The Hunger Games, directed by Matthew Dunster. The production will open on Oct. 20 at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in London.

The cast for the first North American tour of the Tony Award-winning musical has been announced. 

Dylan Mulvaney is making her way Off-Broadway this fall in The Least Problematic Woman in the World directed by Tim Jackson. The show, which is written by and stars Mulvaney, will run from Sept. 20 to Nov. 30 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Official opening is set for Oct. 7.

Nolan White will lead the first North American tour of The Outsiders as Ponyboy Curtis. The rest of the company includes Bonale Fambrini as Johnny Cade, Tyler Jordan Wesley as Dallas Winston, Travis Roy Rogers as Darrel Curtis, Corbin Drew Ross as Sodapop Curtis, Emma Hearn as Cherry Valance, Jaydon Nget as Two-Bit, Mark Doyle as Bob, and Jackson Reagin as Paul. At certain performances, Jordan DeAndre Williams will play the role of Ponyboy Curtis.
