79th Annual Tony Awards Will Take Place This June at Radio City Music Hall

Not to stress anyone out, but we are 132 days away from the 79th Annual Tony Awards. Today it was announced that the 2026 Tonys will be back at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, 2026 on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ at 8:00pm ET. The Tony Awards eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season is Sunday, April 26, 2026 for all Broadway productions, and nominations will be announced the morning of Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

2:22 — A Ghost Story has set its New York Premiere this fall at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The play begins previews on Oct. 20, with official opening on Nov. 5, and will play a strictly limited engagement through Jan. 17.

Murder at the Gates, a killer new musical with book and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Steven Sater and music by James Bourne, is releasing a concept album on July 1. The first song, “Fuckin’ Scream,” featuring vocals by Gaten Matarazzo, is available for streaming now.

Billy Crystal’s 860 To Play Broadway’s Imperial Theatre This Fall

Billy is back! Today, it was announced that Billy Crystal’s new one-man show, 860, directed by Scott Ellis, will play a limited 14-week engagement at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre. Beginning Thursday, October 1, 2026, an official opening night is set for Wednesday, October 21, 2026. In the aftermath of the Palisades fires which took his home, Billy reflects on his family and his career – the memories and moments that mattered the most, and how the power of laughter can overcome the most difficult of times. 860 is a hilarious and intimate story about family, friendship, love, luck, and loss.

DAD DON’T READ THIS To Transfer To Greenwich House Theatre Later This Month

Following its sold-out, twice-extended run at St. Luke’s Theatre, New York Times critic’s pick production of Eliya Smith’s Dad Don’t Read This will transfer to Greenwich House Theater for a strictly limited engagement, June 17 – July 11, 2026. Directed by Chloe Claudel, this co-production is produced by Try For Baby Productions and The Goat Exchange. The show features performances by Drama Desk winner Amalia Yoo (John Proctor is the Villain), Renée-Nicole Powell (Grief Camp), Sophie Rossman, and Kayta Thomas. Dad Don’t Read This is set to open at Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow St) on Tuesday, June 23. Tickets are now on sale at www.daddontreadthis.com.Runyonland Productions, which was recently honored at Theatrely’s 2026 Broadway Breakout Brunch, have joined the transfer as Executive Producers.
