It was announced today that the The Tony Awards Administration Committee will present the 2020 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre to four outstanding contributors to the Broadway industry: Fred Gallo, President of PRG Scenic Technologies; Broadway press agent Irene Gandy; stage manager Beverly Jenkins and New Federal Theatre, Woodie King, Jr. Founder.

Producers Carmen Pavlovic and Bill Damaschke are pleased to announce that Natalie Mendoza will join the Broadway company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the role of Satine when the Tony-nominated hit musical resumes performances on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The Broadway League announced today that the owners and operators of all 41 Broadway theatres in New York City will require vaccinations for audience members, as well as performers, backstage crew, and theatre staff, for all performances through October 2021. Masks will also be required for audiences inside the theatre, except while eating or drinking in designated locations.

Announced today is the complete casting for the world premiere off-Broadway musical A Commercial Jingle for Regina Comet. Ford’s Theatre Society today announced a one-night concert version of the Tony-nominated musical Come From Away on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, September 10, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. Members of the Come From Away company will star in this free, 100-minute concert in honor of the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Come From Away: Concert at the Lincoln Memorial features modified concert staging with minimal props and costumes and is presented rain or shine.
