Alanis Morissette’s 15-time Tony nominated musical Jagged Little Pill will reopen on October 21, 2021 at the Broadhurst Theatre, now with Heidi Blickenstaff as Mary Jane. Tony nominee Elizabeth Stanley will be taking some time to be a new mom and will return to share the role with Blickenstaff in November. 

Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, The Sex Lives of College Girls follows four college roommates as they arrive at New England’s prestigious Essex College. A bundle of contradictions and hormones, these girls are equal parts lovable and infuriating as they live out their new, free lives on campus.The new series stars Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp, and Alyah Chanelle Scott. Additional series regulars include Midori Francis, Gavin Leatherwood, Chris Meyer, Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Lauren Spencer, and Renika Williams.

Beginning on Valentine’s Day 2022, the critically acclaimed immersive theatre experience Sleep No More will once again open its doors at the famed McKittrick Hotel to tell the classic tragedy of Macbeth. Audiences will be able to wander through the sprawling and mysterious hotel filled with over 100 rooms to explore at their own pace.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical A Strange Loop from writer Michael R. Jackson is headed down to Washington DC’s Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company this November. Last seen at Playwrights Horizons in May of 2019, this production will reunite original cast members Antwayn Hopper (Thought 6), L Morgan Lee (Thought 1), John-Michael Lyles (Thought 3), James Jackson, Jr. (Thought 2), John-Andrew Morrison (Thought 4), Jason Veasey (Thought 5) and will also introduce Jaquel Spivey as “Usher.”

Ello Poppets! We now have the official opening Broadway cast for the new musical comedy Mrs. Doubtfire based on the iconic film of the same name. Tony nominee Rob McClure will step back into the title role when the show resumes performances at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on October 21, 2021 before an official opening night on December 5! With a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick of Something Rotten! fame, the musical is directed by Jerry Zaks. 

The Tony Award-winning hit musical Dear Evan Hansen is set to return to the Music Box Theatre on Broadway this December starring the one-and-only Jordan Fisher as Evan Hansen. The North American Tour will relaunch for its third year on the road starring Stephen Christoper Anthony as Evan on December 7, 2021 and you can catch Sam Tutty, who recently won the Oliver Award for Best Actor in a Musical as Evan in the London production returning to the Noël Coward Theatre on October 26, 2021. 

The beloved theatre convention BroadwayCon will return to New York City at The Manhattan Center & The New Yorker Hotel on February 18 through February 20 of next year.

COME FROM AWAY has announced their full Broadway cast for a September 21 return.

The Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 production of Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu’s acclaimed, award-winning play Pass Over, directed by Obie Award winner Danya Taymor (“Daddy,” Heroes of the Fourth Turning) will move its opening night up to Sunday August 22, 2021, three weeks earlier than the previously announced opening date of Sunday September 12, 2021.

Beanie Feldstein will star as “Fanny Brice” in the first Broadway revival of Funny Girl. For the first time in 58 years, the new production directed by Michael Mayer will begin performances in spring 2022 at a Broadway theatre to be announced soon. When Funny Girl first premiered on Broadway in 1964, it went on to garner eight Tony Award nominations. 

Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black is headed back to the McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More. Performances are set to begin October 21, with an opening night set for October 24. This production had a previous run at the McKittrick back in January of 2020. 

On September 17, Everybody is certainly going to be talking about something! Based off the hit West End musical, Amazon’s Everybody's Talking About Jamie will hit the streaming service next month. 

It was announced today that Tony winner Ivo van Hove’s latest revival of West Side Story will not reopen at the Broadway Theatre when in-person performances begin later this fall. The revival of the classic had begun performances on December 10, 2019 and was running up until the shutdown.

Nominated for 12 Tony Awards, Tina - The Tina Turner Musical will reopen at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Friday, October 8, 2021.

Eugene O’Neill’s classic Long Day’s Journey into Night is headed to the Minetta Lane Theatre Off-Broadway in a new stage production that will be directed by Tony Award nominee Robert O’Hara and starring Bill Camp, Ato Blankson-Wood, and Elizabeth Marvel, produced by Audible.

Welcome, back, to the rock! Come From Away will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, September 10. Directed by Tony Award-winner Christopher Ashley, the filmed production stars an ensemble cast led by members of the Broadway show.
